What can I say? Slipknot is one of the greatest musical acts of my time — in my opinion.
So when they were headlining Mayhem, I was in. The rest of the roster left a lot to be desired but I knew Slipknot alone was worth the show. Especially after the death of #2 and wondering if they would ever return.
Corey promised that Slipknot is only getting started — which I figure was meant to address the breakup rumor and indicate new music next year.
The show always feel like a circus. So many guys. So much going on. So loud. So powerful. Perfect.
It rained on and off through the show and poured during the final 2 songs. Nobody left their seats.
Slipknot made it snow in Denver. In July.
Some video from the pit. Sound sucks as always. Cool part include: #0 stage diving, baseball bats on beer kegs, the entire crowd down on the floor, #0 back in the pit, and Joey’s drum set raising up and flipping vertical and rotating.
