Our family has been a Crocs loving family since their inception. If you didn’t know, the shoes got there start here in Colorado just down the road from us. The company has its headquarters near the kid’s school. Anyway, this weekend we heard about a Crocs Warehouse Sale so we decided to check it out. They had taken over the vacant JCPenney store at our mall. We figure they might have a few things to save us some money on next summer’s shoes purchases.
Upon entering the store, we learned what a holiday zoo this was! You were handed a trash bag as your personal shopping cart. Everyone in the store had one and some had a few. People were filling their bags up as fast as they could. Deals everywhere! And the store had already been open for 2 days prior! Shoes were between $5 to $15 depending on make and model. Normally, these go for $30 to $50. They had t-shirts for a $1. Socks for a $1. “Normal” Crocs were $10 in every size and color. Boxes and boxes and boxes of them. Those little things the kids stick in their shoes were 8 for a $1. I think we paid $3 a piece back in the day. So loaded up our bag like all the other shoppers with all kinds of goodies. I picked up a pair of cool camo colored winter Crocs that I had never seen before. Very excited about those.
Anyway, it was a fun shopping experience and the Crocs employees were great. I heard it is going to move on to another town in Colorado next weekend. Sounds like they have some inventory to clear out. But I know Crocs are here to stay.
