Drove there in a downpour. Flash flood warnings. They canceled the opening band, In This Moment. Arrived to find a huge line since nobody had gotten in the venue yet. Ugh. Rain stopped while I was in line so I was barely wet. Score. I got inside and hit the bathroom. Just as I got out, Korn started. Run! Down to the pit!
Korn is predictable. Predictably good. They always deliver a great show. Doesn’t matter if the crowd is cold and wet. They hit it hard from the start and the crowd comes along.
They played a new song yet to be released. It was all over the Internet as the played in Chicago at a festival for the first time days before. We were the 2nd. OK.

Rob Zombie was up next. I had not seen him before for whatever reason. He was really trying hard but the crowd wasn’t there the same way they were for Korn. Just sayin’. But the set was entertaining and he had a lot of props going on. Like a huge dancing Satan. He did a loop through the crowd as well. And he loved to dance.
Rob making his way across the crowd. He looks the Zombie part.
Given the delayed start and the stupid curfew there, all the bands played short sets and were annoyed by it. So were the fans. If they start late, we should be able to stay a little late. 10:30 on a weeknight in the summer is dumb. I guess people live around there but it doesn’t rain like that every night.
