We cruised over to Hagerman Pass, west of Leadville, for a little day camping. Took the dogs, the truck, the ATVs, food, and whatever else we could cram in the Hummer. We setup basecamp at the Windsor Lake trailhead for the day. From there, we had lots of diversions available. Hiking trails nearby. Rivers for the dogs to swim in. And some fun offroad trails for our ATVs. Kim and I took turns leading the kids up the new routes available. The big fun was hitting the top of Hagerman Pass. We were not sure if it was quite open yet from the big snowfall. But it turns out it was plowed through recently so we had all the access we needed.
Snow taller than this midget on 4-wheels!
I tried to explain what the Continental Divide was to her but she was lost on it. But it seemed like a cool place for a big pose anyway!
