Don’t bother to resist, or I’ll beat you

It’s not your fault that you’re always wrong

Miss me? Didn’t do a weekly last week if you didn’t notice. Had my mom and sister in town and got a few days of times on the slopes and running was on the back burner. Enjoyed the extended time in Leadville as winter is ending. Unless we get serious spring storms, its going to be dry up their by April in a lot of the places I go. Thinking of having a weekend “come and run” thing in April if it dries out. Sort of Fat Ass style spread over 2 days.

Been feeling tired and sluggish. But these temps have been great this week. I worked on my tan probably 4 days total. I should be golden shortly.

Hokas. Not for me any more. With the increase in temps, I have yet to go a run without developing a blister of some kind. On Saturday’s run in the 60-70s, I brought home a 2 layer beauty. The benefit of ultra running is that you usually save your blisters for that 100M day and you NEVER get them in training runs anymore. That has changed. The upper on these shoes is just way too hot. There is no airflow. There is no way I will wear these in a race. As for keeping me more injury free, I don’t buy it anymore. The pains have moved to other places. I have pain in the piriformis as bad as its ever been. It hurts to drive a car more than anything. So I will start to rotate the Hokas back out of the mix now. And I just feel slow in them. I tried.

Good thing Zombierunner is open 24×7 online.
