Very excited to see Trivium back on the road this year after the new album, In Waves, last summer. If you don't peek at my Now Playing widget, you might not understand how much I played this band in 2011. Actually, they were the sole band on my iPod on the build to Leadville last summer. Nearly every song on the new album developed into some sort of mantra leading up to the race. Then the race didn't go so well. And for months, I abandoned Trivium because it stirred up to many unfulfilled promises to myself.
So a small club date in Downtown Denver was a perfect way to reunite me with the band!
Matt, the lead singer, seems like a cool kid. I enjoy his performances. The dude joined this band when he was 12 years old.
The band played a good mix of old and new and even peeled off a rendition of The Four Horsemen in honor of the 50th birthday of Mr. Cliff Burton.
A little video from down front.
Another great live show in Denver! Honestly, there is nothing that I enjoy more than getting out and seeing live music from a band I love. Its very energizing for me. Its so hard to rank bands because they are all different and have different styles but these guys are right up there in that elite top 10 place for me.
