I have been bundling up for these hiking efforts because I don’t stay as warm as when running. However, today I was greeted with a little warmer temps and I appreciated that. Although, it didn’t last as I started winding up through the trails into the snow. Finally, put on my dull set of spikes for the last mile and for the first mile of the descent. Its that weird condition where there is enough ice to be annoying in places but not enough to truly need the spikes from start to finish. So another hike up in the books. They aren’t getting faster but the conditions aren’t helping yet.
I went 6.08 miles with an elevation gain of 2,510 feet in 01:35:05, which is an average pace of 15:39. View my GPS data on Garmin Connect.
