Run: Mead HS (7.41 mi @ 08:07)VFFs. Started slow to loosen up. Never paid any attention to the ankle really. Pulled down the pace nicely in the middle. Getting the hang of spinning my legs faster in these shoes. However, at 6 something started to hurt. I stopped to inspect. Bottom of the right foot in the ball. Nice big thick skin patch breaking loose. Evidence that the VFFs are working. Breaking through years of crusty build up. Might have to sand it off tonight.
My chiropractor is open late today so I went in this evening and hit the laser therapy. Today felt great after the first round yesterday so I want to continue that trend.
I would like to take this opportunity to tell Nike that they can choke on a bucket of cocks. Apparently, the LunarTrainer is totally extinct now. This is my favorite road shoe. What to do? Changing brands? Not excited. The rest of the newer Lunar* models are too bulky. I like the sock like fit of this design. Debating moving to some Free 3.0s. But I got bitter with my old pair because rocks get all up in those cracks. I almost just want to buy some more LunaRacers and just run those down. The 2.0s look a bit more sturdy. Otherwise, I could try some flats like Simon was talking about. Or spend more time in VFFs. But I don’t want a major change right now. Ideas?
I am confirming my presence at tomorrow night’s non-event.
