Permalink Run: Attempt #4 (7.02 mi @ 07:48)

Went with LunarTrainers to keep the alternating pattern going. Today was my first time back with my iPod. Started out slow but then the song changed to something fast and I thought, “Why am I not widening my stride?”. I had been mentally running safe and it was time to test things out. So I widened it up and it felt just fine. Dropped the pace into the 7s for most of the splits and had no issue. While running, the pain feels sort of like a dull “Indian Burn”, like when somebody twists your skin in opposing directions. Capped it at 7 miles as planned with no issues. Limped up the driveway. Feels better while running than walking. Iced it for an hour. I keep stretching it during the day by pointing my toes. Don’t count me out just yet! Its better than this.

Had lunch with JV at Chipotle. Good to see him live. Haven’t been on the trails with him in almost 2 weeks. I scarfed my chicken bowl and he only ate 1/2 of his burrito. What a woman. Well, you know…the skinny kind. Not this.
