Run: Slow 10M (10.41 mi @ 07:59)Bailed on the brisk workout that was scheduled. Decided to run slow instead. My legs had no spark but can deal with distance today. Last run before the break.
Went to the appointment in sweats so I could be comfy. Minutes later I was in a gown. They put in an IV and I waited for the guy before me to finish. They wheeled him out of the operating room and sent me in. Laid down on the table on with a pillow under my head. He taped the hose toward my belly. Then proceeded to build a working area with towels around the sack. They put some pain medicine into the IV. It was enough that I stopped paying attention and started looking into the light. He spent 5 minutes maybe on my right side. Then did the same stuff on the left. I think I only heard a little sizzle on each side as he closed the ends. They helped me slide on the jock and transfered me to a recliner with wheels. I was rolled to recovery and another dude went in next.
Frankly, the procedure was a non-event. Took a nap when I got home. Now just laying here with peas on the sack.
Doc said 7 days to run but that seemed like generic advice. Basically, keep them from dangling and increase intensity as you feel ok. If it hurts, stop.
I have to bring back specimens in 2 months. I can bottle it at home! I was wondering what the protocol would be if I had to do it there. How quick? What media is provided? Nurse assistance? Guess not.
So I am here on the couch. I don’t belong but I will comply. Massage on Monday. Will evaluate on Tuesday.
