Dakota is still keeping on keeping on. She is definitely being lazy and sleeping a lot. We often find her shaking really softly and then have to rub her belly to calm her down. She just won't eat either. So the doctor prescribed some human anti-nausea pills that we had to go fill at Walgreens. Dakota is in the computer at Walgreens now. Weird. I have been trying to get her out to walk but it tires her out when done. The other day we walked around the pond then stopped to chill in the grass for a while. Funny how everything slows down when somebody is sick.
Wyatt isn't sure what to make of all this. He finds himself locked outside for long periods of time while we try and feed Dakota -- which basically entails leaving her food lay out till she eats it. He always wants to be around when Dakota is getting her fluids too. Hopefully, his spirits remain high during this time.
Tonight, we went to Carls Jr. and got Dakota (and Wyatt) an Angus burger. Chopped it up and she ate the whole freaking thing. The dogs hasn't eaten in 2 days but this was worth it. The doctor says that she associates the smell/taste of her old food (or anything that resembles it) with her nauseous feeling so she passes on it. So we are also fighting a mental battle here as well to try and teach her to eat again.
