After the full day at Disney’s California Adventure, we headed across to Disneyland to catch the Christmas parade and hit a few more rides before calling it a night. While we were able to get front row for the Pixar Parade, the crowds were several deep 45 minutes before the parade began! We found a spot and settled in for the show. Sydney and Reagan were ready for more action!
The photos were difficult but the video seemed to do a better job capturing some of the magic of the parade.
After the parade, we decided to go and hit more rides. However, the temps had dropped and everyone was cold. The temps have usually been in the 60-70s here but it seems much colder than our 60-70 in Colorado. Must be the slight humidity and lack of direct UV exposure from the sun. So we ducked into some stores and picked out sweatshirts for everyone. My kid’s excitement over The Nightmare Before Christmas put me in the mood for my selection.
With new Jack the Pumpkin King sweatshirt on, we head to the Haunted Mansion for a 2nd trip through. It is all decked out in a motif from The Nightmare Before Christmas. It is really cool!
It was right about this time in the ride when I got yelled at for using flash photography in the ride. Yes, I was the dick doing it. Sorry. Got caught up in the excitement. After that we rode Alice in Wonderland, Mr. Toad, and several others that had short lines. We headed over to the big holiday centerpiece, Its a Small World, but the line was the longest in the park. It was about 9PM and we hadn’t eaten yet and everyone was starting to crash. So we opted to get out of the park and grab some dinner and crash. We have another day left on our 3 day passes so we will be back!
