Now Playing on Facebook

In the continuing effort to display your music all over the place for you, I created a Facebook application that uses the data from my Now Playing plugins to update your profile. Weeee.

Its working decently for me but I am not a hard core Facebooker(?). So let me know if it works for you.

Note that I haven’t implemented this for the Mac OS X Now Playing…yet. Waiting for feedback on the Windows version first.

Facebook won’t let you publish your application in the directory until you get some users so I need people to manually add the application. To do that, you just have to go to:

So the brief instructions are:

1) Get version 3.6 of Now Playing
2) Add the app via the URL above
3) Go into your media player and open the Now Playing options. Go to the Facebook tab and enable it and hit the login, then authorize button.
4) Play some music and see if your Now Playing box in your profile updates.

If you have trouble, turn on debug logs and send them to me.
