I have been interviewing candidates to fill a spot on my team for months. We are picky but I must say that the candidates lately…well, I haven’t hired anyone.

Anyway, this guy pops out of thin air. He seems great. He turns out to be. I think we will get him.

Here is the weird part. He went to Purdue. So did I. Ok, not crazy. Millions have. He was in the engineering co-op program. So was I. Freakier? Not enough? Digging through his application I find out that we are from the same home town of Fort Wayne. Getting interesting? In our next talk, I find out that we grew up a few miles/blocks apart. Strange. Of all the places and all the paths.
