Vice PopeI am about as tired of hearing about the Pope as I was of Terri Schiavo. Don't get me wrong -- it is not those people, it is the media.
But I was driving to pickup dinner tonight and I got thinking, why isn't there a Vice Pope? We have Vice Presidents, Lieutenant Governors, etc. Hell, in our homeowner's association, we have a Vice President so that if I get hit by a bus, he is ready to roll and continue the work in the community.
So if the Pope is so important, isn't it strange that they don't have a successor chosen in advance? I guess the Church's business can be put on hold for a few weeks.
Just a random thought.
