More Points
As discussed in yesterday’s podcast, I got a ticket last night after my board meeting. I didn’t come to a complete stop at a stop sign and the cop was passing by at exactly that moment. Bad luck…well, I don’t always come to a complete stop. I am a “rounder”.
So for the record, my last ticket was in June 2003 and I got 4 points for that one. I was knocked down to 2 by the acknowledgement clause. The stop sign was another 4 points. Says it will be knocked down to 2 if I acknowledge guilt again. Fine, me is guilty.
I stand at 4 points. This is like the only game were points are bad. Last night, I had a dream where my license was suspended and my wife wouldn’t drive me around. When I woke up, I checked the Colorado DMV web site immediately and found:
ADULT DRIVER (over 21)
12 points in any 12 consecutive months.
18 points in any 24 consecutive months.
Sweet. Man, you have to really screw it up to get your license suspended!
