Something Is Fishy
Kobe is a free man. Well, he was a free man yesterday too — I guess. From the beginning, I was suspicious on this whole thing. Sure, he had sex with the girl. Basketball players having sex with lots of women? Duh. I think Wilt Chamberlain made that clear….1000 woman was it? But the real issue was “did she want to do it”? He says yes, she says no. I still believe him at this point. Especially because pretty much every article I have read says she was promiscuous. You be the judge!
But it feels like the root of the issue here is money. The girl dropped the federal case because there was no money in it for her on top of not having a great case. No loss. Now, she gets to pursue the civil case and seek damages and Kobe will probably settle because he wants this to go away. He has to go win ball games. No more time for this.
So the lesson here is the next time you see an NBA player, you better get your groove on or else you will have to continue to play the lottery for your payday like everyone else.
