Water for Everyone
We rode our bikes downtown today and went to the Rythm on the River. Its a local 1-day festival put on by the city.
The local Longmont city water company was there with a booth. They were giving away plastic water bottles -- just like the kind you would buy some mountain spring water in. Then, they had bunch of spouts that you could use to fill your water bottle up with for free right next to the booth. The interesting thing was that everywhere you went, everybody at the festival was carrying the bottle around and drinking water. No soda or beer to be seen anywhere. Not sure if anyone was even selling it! It was 95+ degrees and everybody was well hydrated it seemed. Are people getting healthier or what?
It was cool to see a water company do something cool to cool people off.
