Weight Until You See ThisIts been quite a while since I put out my last weight update. To catch you up, I entered the 150s late last year and just sat there. The scale wouldn’t really move. That was OK. My diet had been adjusted and I was enjoying my new weight. Everyone that I see periodically (instead of day to day) noticed that I looked thinner. That was fun.
So back about 2 month ago, I decided it was time to enter the next dimension…the 140s. I re-examined my diet again and I started making sure I read every label. My investigation showed me that there were some big doeses of carbs still in my diet that I needed to remove. I cut those out but still had 1 or 2 big carb meals a week. As of today, the scale today tells the tale!

I have never been a bigger believer in the Atkins diet than I am today. Its amazing how your body adjusts and begins to stop craving the high-powered sugar doses you used to be so in need of. Plus, now there are so many great new products coming out to help you transition. I am a big fan of the Carb Smart line. Their Rocky Road ice cream is awesome. Cold Stone now has 0 carb ice cream also! The new Subway wraps are great…but the Arby’s wraps are better! Kim makes wraps for me at home now also. Low carb tortillas make so much possible. Many restaurants now have the carb counts on the menu. Its a great time to diet.
I always get asked about my exercise routine. And this is my favorite part…I haven’t exercised in months. Don’t get me wrong — a workout is a great thing. But if you are trying to lose weight Atkins style, give up the exercise for now. Really! It only messes with your body and mind. During the diet you need to focus on teaching your body to do what you do day to day with a new diet. Your body won’t like it for a while. You will crave things you know you can’t have. And if you exericse, you will be more hungry and the cravings will be worse. So don’t exercise. Save that for next year’s resolution.
