Permalink I Hate Traveling

Sometimes I forget the fact that traveling sucks. Its one thing to be away from home and such, but my real issue is the pain of getting ready to go somewhere and not being able to get there. Seems to happen to me a lot.

Of course, there are these wildfires in Los Angeles — and where am I off to? Los Angeles, of course. I seem to always be traveling into the eye of the storm. So Frontier canceled all their flights for the rest of the night and their next flights that aren’t full go out tomorrow night. I would miss the first and best day of the conference. United had ONE first class seat on a flight that was not canceled so I opted to take it. Its a $1,000 ticket but I figure I have a non-refundable conference registration for about $2,000 starting in the morning so its probably my best bet to just get there. So right now, they have pushed that flight back another 4 hours.

I arrived here at 4:30 PM and my flight is supposed to fly at 10:30 PM right now. I hope we get to go otherwise this was just a very long dinner at the Denver International Airport. Plus, Bill might be mad if I miss our 8:30 AM meeting.
