Feedback
I have been getting more and more random e-mails lately. I think it stems from the growing traffic on my site from the Movable Type plugins I have authored. I felt like sharing them today. I am breaking them down into 3 types with examples:
1. Movable Type Help
Most of the e-mail is about people's problems with Movable Type. So many newbies trying to learn how to do things I guess. Today, I had one visitor trying to put plugin template tags inside of blog entries and then wondering why they didn't work. That is Movable Type 101 -- geeks can appreciate this. Advanced folks know there are ways around this.
2. Random Disagreements
Max thinks the Hulk was a great movie and wanted to tell me about it -- 3 times. I still think it sucked. Post your movie review on the page too so we can have a real vote.
3. Random Feedback
Visitor: I stumbled upon your website, and I just want to give you a little quick feedback. You need to change the phrase at the top - "These are the hands that drop your trust" - to something like "These are the hands that hold your trust". 'Drop your trust' sounds like you're not trustworthy. I'm sure that's not what you intended.
Me: Its a quote from a song...
Visitor: That's fine, if everyone knows the song. I don't, and I'll bet a lot of hiring managers don't either.
Me: I have a good job already.
Ah, I love them all. Keep them coming.
